Shiny New Wavy Davy

If you like your politics without substance or policies then Wavy Davy Cameron is for you. And of the Crewe and Nantwich by-election is anything to go by you'll have a lot of company as so many people voted for the party with no policies. That's UK politics for you.

Spreads thinly and leaves a nasty taste.

I'm glad I followed your link from babooshka's blog, your work is great. Even though I am not familiar with all the personalities involved, the political issues remain universal. You would be like a kid in a candy store if you were let loose on South African politics and politicians! My favourite local cartoon is Madam and Eve, no-one is sacred or safe from their acid perceptions! http://www.madamandeve.co.za/week_of_cartns.php

Wow, that Sudan one is particularly hard hitting, brilliant! My sister and brother in law still live in Zim (I grew up there.) My son, his partner and their 8 month old baby live in Khartoum, he is a pilot, working for a South African company that is contracted to the UN, and until the baby was born, his partner was on UN staff, helping to repatriate refugees in the South. So the situation in those places is particularly close to my heart. Their photos have become the basis for some of my recent paintings.

(oh dear, this is becoming like an artists show-and-tell!)

Cheers, Suzi-k

Thanks Suzi - the more people who agree with us the more chance those in a position to actually do something about it might just be inclined to do so

Cheers

I've just come here from Babooshka's blog too, I love this cartoon! Utterly substance-free, no kidding. Urgh, I'm shuddering at the thought of his smug mug if he wins the next election.

Good to see people from Babooshka's blog. The thing I can't believe is the crush to vote for him when he has no policies. I'm afraid that doesn't say much for a lot of people's common sense. I know the government is a complete shower, but at least you know a bit about what they stand for. I think we have to ask ourselves what Cameron is so afraid of telling us if he won't tell us what he intends to do.
